What's New At Titan Spring!
Stainless Steel Custom Assembly
This part is an assembly involving two components
made from 316L Stainless Steel.
The spring clip blank is subcontracted to an approved
chemical machining company to be etched rather than
stamped due to the material thickness of .004 +/- .001.
The part is then shipped as a flat blank ready to be
formed at Titan.
The housing detail is subcontracted to an approved source for machining the six different
diameters and chamfers. The tolerances on this part are critical and are maintained to plus
or minus .001 on a part less than 1/4 inch in length.

Both parts are inspected upon receipt from subcontractors for compliance with the
customers specifications prior to release to the production floor.
The flat blank is formed into the leaf configuration on each of the 5 legs and then rolled into
a ring. After an in process inspection verification of drawing requirements the finished clip
is assembled into the machined housing and spot welded in 5 places at Titan.
The finishes assembly is then sent to the Titan’s Inspection Lab for testing and final
inspection documentation prior to shipment to the customer.
